    East is AKRO's addictive travel fragrance. Of all the five senses, none has the power to transport us quite like scent. Sometimes, just one hit of a long-forgotten smell is enough to sweep you off your feet, carrying you towards some distant land or time. One aroma that always takes us to a different place is that of Oud, the rare and mysterious oil that comes from the core of the Aquilaria tree. Oud is an aroma that invokes the Middle East, a place with its own idiosyncratic set of smells and flavours. So, in tribute to travel and Oud, we created East, perhaps the strongest and most unique of all the Akro ranges.     The Perfumer

    Olivier Cresp is a French perfumer. Born in Grasse, he grew up in a family of flower growers who passed on to him their passion for beautiful scents. He was awarded the title of master perfumer in 2006.

    He is the creator of the gourmand notes family, with Thierry Mugler's famous Angel, which blends sweet, vanilla, chocolate and caramel notes.

    He has created many successful fragrances for some of the biggest names in international perfumery.

    He says he's always looking for the perfect fragrance, but hasn't found it yet. He says that his fragrances should be a pleasure for himself and for others, and that they should give the wearer confidence.
