The AKRO Story
Akro is rooted in the French Riviera and has its origins in the town of Grasse, the birthplace of perfumery and the Cresp family.
Anaïs Cresp, originally from Paris, decided to move to London, and immersed in the hustle and bustle of city life, she had an idea: everyday pleasures could be bottled and transformed into perfumes. Akro was born.
Together with her father Olivier, a renowned master perfumer, they turned this concept into reality, creating perfumes inspired by the pleasures of life. The name Akro derives from the word ‘accro’, which means to be addicted to or obsessed with something.
The Founder
A master perfumer based in Grasse, Olivier Cresp comes from a long line of perfumers and enjoys a great reputation in his profession. He began his career in 1992 at Firmenich and has established himself as the ‘king of gourmands’, with more than 440 fragrances created. Olivier developed his artistic sensibility and love of perfumery in the flower fields of his childhood. Renowned for his figurative, minimalist and transgressive fragrances, he uses ingredients from Firmenich for Akro, reflecting his commitment to quality and innovation. He believes in the power of an exceptional idea and is constantly searching for unique concepts that leave a lasting impression.
