2. Clément Gavarry, l'héritier qui a choisi son héritage

Clément Gavarry naît à Paris en 1977, héritier d'une lignée grassoise remontant à quatre générations. Son arrière-grand-père cultivait la lavande, son grand-père jardinait pour Chanel, son père Max était parfumeur.

Adolescent, il refuse d'abord cette transmission. La voile l'attire davantage que les laboratoires. Un stage à New York en 1998 change sa trajectoire. Il découvre le métier hors du regard familial et comprend que c’est ce qui l’attire profondèment.

Formé à l'ISIPCA puis à l'école d'IFF, il obtient son diplôme en 2004 et s'installe à Manhattan. Parfumeur principal chez dsm-firmenich depuis 2024, il compte plus de cent quarante créations. Son style conjugue intuition et rigueur technique. Il signe aussi bien Prada que Cloud d'Ariana Grande, Panorama d'Olfactive Studio que Lovely de Sarah Jessica Parker.
