The oud Assafi he selected for East is dense, slightly smoky, with that muted animality that distinguishes quality ouds from synthetic reconstructions. The raspberry at the top does not soften the juice; it opens it up, before the leather comes in to create a tension that holds throughout the development. Sillage rated 5/5 on Fragrantica. The Perfumer

Olivier Cresp is a French perfumer. Born in Grasse, he grew up in a family of flower growers who passed on to him their passion for beautiful scents. He was awarded the title of master perfumer in 2006.

He is the creator of the gourmand notes family, with Thierry Mugler's famous Angel, which blends sweet, vanilla, chocolate and caramel notes.

He has created many successful fragrances for some of the biggest names in international perfumery.

He says he's always looking for the perfect fragrance, but hasn't found it yet. He says that his fragrances should be a pleasure for himself and for others, and that they should give the wearer confidence.
