The Fragrance

Fleur de Sel & Café Latte is an eau de parfum of contrasts, poised between marine freshness and gourmand warmth. Iodised notes, ylang-ylang and white flowers evoke sun-warmed salty skin. Arabica coffee, vanillin, oak wood and incense create a milky, roasted and smoky base. Layering: Try it with Poire & Santal Blanc for a softer, creamier interpretation of the salt-and-coffee contrast. Two temperatures that seek each other. On one side, the iodised scent of sea spray, the smells of beach and sunscreen carried by ylang-ylang and vanilla. On the other, the wood of straw huts lifted by a pyrogenic incense, and the aroma of roasted coffee - a Brazilian arabica held by a lactonic vanillin chosen for its milky, almost frozen facet. The encounter creates this gourmand café-latte effect at the water's edge. Central material: Fleur de sel - salt crystallised at the surface, harvested by hand. A pure, mineral matter that signs the opening of the perfume and dialogues, through contrast, with the roasted roundness of the Brazilian arabica at the base.

The Brand

C_RAY's approach is to recapture the spirit of Cologne, historically associated with freshness and a daily ritual, while giving it the structure and sophistication of an eau de parfum.

The collection brings together seven unisex fragrances, designed around central materials and distinct olfactory families. The compositions can be worn alone or layered, according to individual preferences.

This layering possibility is based on a shared accord called Fleur de Cuir. It combines four characteristic materials: maté, with vegetal and herbaceous facets; osmanthus, with fruity nuances reminiscent of apricot and leather; oakmoss, with undergrowth accents; and juniper, with woody and smoky tones. Their dosage varies from one composition to another, creating a common thread between the perfumes.

The Perfumer

Arturetto Landi is Italian, trained as a chemist, and became a perfumer by chance. A temporary job at a fragrance company in England changed his path. After growing up on the Italian Riviera with a father who was a chef, he trained at H&R in Holzminden, then worked in New York, Paris, Tokyo, Hamburg, Vienna, and Dubai.

The Middle East introduced him to agarwood, which became the backbone of his work. His style is expansive, dense, and theatrical. He likes warm, woody, leathery oud, combined with resins, ambers, flowers, and spices. Contrasts prevail over restraint.

In 2014, he launched his own house. His philosophy can be summed up in five words: modesty, patience, imagination, passion, discernment.
