The Fragrance

Le Temps des Conquêtes speaks of inner structure, of elegance shaped by noble and classic ingredients brought into a new modernity, a fougère usually typically masculine but taken into a new and unexpected dimension, to be loved universally.From the outset, the composition opens with a sensation of energy and precision. Bergamot and lemon bring a crisp, vibrant freshness, radiant and immediate. A note of thyme adds a green clarity, while pepper adds a subtle tension. The result is a vegetal luminosity, structured and firm, which sets the tone.At its heart lies the black tea accord. Dry, refined, and slightly smoky, it anchors the composition with modernity. The tea note is not aromatic in the usual sense; it is textured, almost mineral, and brings a distinctive tension to the classic fougère form. Around it, lavender offers a familiar, restrained, and balanced calm. Myrrh adds warmth and roundness, a resinous depth that evokes polished wood and patinated leather.Ambroxan elegantly diffuses the heart, giving the fragrance its fluid continuity. The base is built to last, rich but never heavy. Frankincense brings a luminous, resinous clarity, reinforcing the verticality of the structure. Carefully selected patchouli avoids any earthy heaviness and instead adds a dry, leathery refinement, softened and clean. A final blend of benzoin and vanilla smooths the composition, giving it a sense of ease and resolve, without masking its structure.

Founded in 1808 under the arcades of the Palais-Royal, Plisson is the oldest French house dedicated to the art of shaving, of which Napoleon was one of the first loyal customers.

The House extends more than two centuries of expertise into niche perfumery, translating into its fragrances the same precision of gesture, the same nobility of materials, and refinement without excess.

Its first fragrance collection, Collection 1808, brings together six universal eaux de parfum inspired by different facets of Napoleon’s destiny. Creations with character, designed in Paris by renowned perfumers, where heritage and modernity engage in a measured dialogue.

The Perfumer

Marine Ipert grew up in the south of France, between sea and mountains, to the rhythm of lavender, mimosa, jasmine, and orange blossom blooms. A mother passionate about perfumes, a father attentive to the family garden, and, at the age of thirteen, a decisive encounter with a perfumer from Grasse awakened her vocation.

After studying chemistry and at ISIPCA, she trained at IFF and then at the Symrise school, before joining Takasago in 2023. A draughtswoman since childhood, she conceives scents in lines, volumes, textures, and colors. Fashion, architecture, travel, and everyday scenes fuel her imagination.

Her perfumery combines rigorous technical mastery with a precise visual sensitivity. Curious, patient, and committed to passing on knowledge, she seeks the form capable of making an emotion immediately perceptible.
