The Fragrance

A rose born from the grower's hand and the perfumer's precision. Taniros is a May rose cultivated and shaped by an agri-perfumer, conceived from the plant's very beginning as a living material. At the opening, a green, sharp, and spicy sensation evokes the moment of harvest, when the flower releases its raw vegetal tension onto the hands. The rose then unfolds with clarity and light, before anchoring itself in smoky cedarwood, a subtle reminder of cooperage and the "roseing" of an oak barrel. A woody, patinated imprint that structures the composition and gives it its depth. The May rose intertwines with a sharp green accord and the depth of smoky cedar, creating a composition where vegetal freshness meets woody substance. On the skin, the opening is vibrant, almost sharp, like a crumpled leaf still laden with vegetal matter. The rose then reveals itself in a softer, floral, and slightly spicy light, before melting into a dry, smoky wood, elegant and enveloping. Cedar brings a calm density, like a patinated warmth that prolongs the perfumer's touch on the skin.

As the heir to a lineage of winemakers and perfume flower growers, Lauriane draws her inspiration from the land and its terroirs.

Each creation celebrates the finest “cépages" (grape varieties of perfumery through authentic, natural, and refined fragrances—a tribute to agricultural expertise, nature, and the art of blending.

The Perfumer

Lauriane Guignon has a unique background. She is a perfumer, winemaker, and producer of perfume plants. She practices these three professions at Mas Ricardenque, a family estate in Callian, in the Grasse region, where 8,000 Centifolia rose bushes grow alongside 2.5 hectares of organic vineyards.

She comes from a century-old lineage of winemakers and perfume flower growers, and her creations are born from the terroir before they reach the bottle.

Each fragrance she creates for her own brand highlights a “grape variety” of fine perfumery—a noble raw material crafted with the same care an oenologist applies to a grand cru, through blending, patience, and respect for the rhythm of the seasons. At Cépages Parfums, the hand that formulates is also the one that harvests.
