    The Fragrance

    Moonlight Shadow captures this suspended night: shadowed areas to lose oneself in, illuminated by a thin thread of cold light, with the crisp air carrying echoes of distant memories and the thrill of the future. The fragrance is rooted in Luminous Darkness, blending the deep warmth of oud with the sharp brilliance of aldehydic and metallic notes in a harmonious encounter of nostalgia and desire. The opening is fresh and vibrant: orange blossom, chinotto, mandarin, and anise release energy and brightness. At the heart, jasmine, tuberose, rose damascena, ylang-ylang, and iris intertwine, while aldehydes sparkle like silver reflections of the moon on water. The base, sensual and persistent, mixes honey, incense, absinthe, juniper, patchouli, cedar, musk, and oud, leaving an intense and mysterious trail. Moonlight Shadow is a fragrance of contrasts, for those who live suspended between past and future, between memory and anticipation. Like the melody of Mike Oldfield, from which it takes its name, it leaves trails of absence and suspended hopes, inviting one to lose oneself between the warmth of a memory and the freshness of desire.

    From the passion for both the chinotto fruit and the artistic perfumery, Marco Abaton has the idea to capture the scent of all the different facets of this extraordinary citrus, using the flowers and the fruit, both green and ripe. Chinotto is a citrus plant coming from far away, but which finds its ideal home in Savona, a small coastal city in the Liguria Riviera of Ponente. Chinotto is generous. From its rich flowering, its leaves and peels, we could get scented extracts. The scents and colours of the fruits change according to the season and ripeness, turning from bright green to yellow and then orange.
