The Fragrance

Aldehydes elegantly introduce a multitude of flowers: ylang-ylang, jasmine, iris and rose gather with flair and bombast, resting atop a creamy bed of sandalwood, musk and warm, sensual patchouli. Paul Vacher created Sortilège in 1936 as a tribute to the extravagant parties of the roaring twenties. In 1950, the fragrance was used as the signature scent for the Stork Club, an exclusive New York nightclub. Marilyn Monroe and Ava Gardner became the prestigious ambassadresses of this great aldehydic floral, which exudes the house’s prized values of distinction and heightened femininity. Olfactive signature: Narcissus, which adds pride and mystery to hyper-femininity on the red carpet.

The Brand

Founded in 1930, Le Galion embodies a certain idea of high perfumery, where elegance is expressed through the precision of compositions and the nobility of materials.

Gone for several decades, Le Galion was reborn in 2014 with the ambition of creating a dialogue between its heritage and contemporary creation. Its collections bring historical signatures such as Snob, Brumes, and Vétyver back to life, while also welcoming new olfactory interpretations. Its faceted bottle, designed in an Art Deco spirit, extends this singular identity.

Le Galion cultivates a personality that is at once free, assertive, and timeless. The House favors fragrances with character, endowed with a true presence, expressing a singular vision of French elegance. Its independent spirit, its attachment to tradition, and its taste for expressive compositions give it a distinctive identity, apart from fleeting trends.

The Perfumer

From the vibrant citrus of Neroli Portofino to the smoky depths of Ébène Fumé, Rodrigo Flores-Roux cultivates a generous, erudite, and deeply personal approach to perfumery.

Born in Mexico City and trained in Versailles, this Givaudan perfumer draws on botany, art history, and the memory of his native country to give scents a cultural and emotional dimension.

For him, Mexico is not a backdrop one might invoke to lend local color to a composition. It belongs to his intimate vocabulary, his memories, and his way of looking at the world.
