The Fragrance

A fleeting flight of citruses introduces a vivid crumple of aromatic herbs, at the crossroads of the unmistakable trademarks of Cologne and fougère. Patchouli and cedarwood coordinate to reveal a signature with wisely chosen care. In 2016, to accompany Cologne’s re-release, Rodrigo Flores-Roux took it upon himself to imagine another facet of this perfumer’s timeless exercise. He composed a modern herbal woody accord to sketch an intriguing, subtle, yet charismatic evening elixir. Olfactive signature: Cedarwood, which reinforces the woody signature of this sophisticated evening Cologne. The image of a white shirt, abandoned on unmade bedsheets in the early morning.

The Brand

Founded in 1930, Le Galion embodies a certain idea of high perfumery, where elegance is expressed through the precision of compositions and the nobility of materials.

Gone for several decades, Le Galion was reborn in 2014 with the ambition of creating a dialogue between its heritage and contemporary creation. Its collections bring historical signatures such as Snob, Brumes, and Vétyver back to life, while also welcoming new olfactory interpretations. Its faceted bottle, designed in an Art Deco spirit, extends this singular identity.

Le Galion cultivates a personality that is at once free, assertive, and timeless. The House favors fragrances with character, endowed with a true presence, expressing a singular vision of French elegance. Trained in Versailles and then in Grasse, Jean-Michel Duriez practiced his art at Jean Patou and Rochas before founding his own house.

His olfactory signature is rooted in the art of translating emotions and memories into fragrances, combining technical precision, sensitivity, and a search for balance.
