The Fragrance

Umbra Veris grows from the memory of an Andalusian garden, the Alcázar of Seville. The fragrance opens on a vivid, sap-like green freshness, carried by bitter orange, galbanum and angelica. A white floral heart then takes hold, built on jasmine absolute, clary sage and buchu. The woody, mineral base forms around Haitian vetiver, Virginia cedar and fir balsam. The fragrance runs through the whole day, from the first light of dawn to the long shadows of evening. Signed by independent perfumer Alexandre Makhloufi.

Dissident is an independent perfume studio founded in Paris. Each fragrance is born from an intention — a story, an obsession, a place — and is built around memory, image, and atmosphere.

Created by a single perfumer, far from marketing briefs and trend cycles, the compositions explore the contrasts between light and shadow, softness and tension, beauty and instinct.

Alexandre Makhloufi est un parfumeur autodidacte installé à Paris. Après une première carrière dans la culture et l'audiovisuel, il se consacre entièrement à la création olfactive. Son studio, d'abord nommé Sacré Français, devient Dissident Parfums en avril 2026.

Il signe trois parfums : Sleep No More en 2024, Coeur Fauve en 2025 et Umbra Veris en 2026. Chaque formule naît d'une histoire à raconter et joue sur les contrastes entre ombre et lumière, douceur et tension, mémoire et imaginaire.

Ses parfums visent avant tout l'émotion, tantôt douce, tantôt troublante, plutôt que de suivre la tendance.
