The Fragrance

Anise and ginger ignite a dry spark in a cloud of dark spices. Black coffee, captured in headspace, then blends into the softness of golden hay and creamy tonka bean. In the base, tobacco leaf softens into a patinated warmth, soothed by ambrox and silky vanilla. Tobacco creates a dense, enveloping atmosphere, conducive to contemplation.

The Perfumer

Born into a family with a passion for scents, Julien Rasquinet discovered the olfactory riches of nature at a very early age.

After graduating from business school, he changed direction after meeting one of France's greatest perfumers, Pierre Bourdon, who passed on his know-how and artistic vision, inherited from his own master, Edmond Roudnitska.

He creates fragrances that reflect his taste for orientalism, combining spicy, woody, amber and floral notes. He also likes to play with contrasts and unexpected combinations.
