The Fragrance

The inspiration: "I have always been fascinated by the stillness of nature and the hues of watercolors, as well as by Ayudthaya, a sacred place in the old capital of Thailand. I used to draw the golden temple, situated in the middle of the Sun Moon Lake, as a symbol of a luminous, guiding spirit amidst life’s uncertainty. I feel that the calm grace of this aromatic floral is itself a source of peace and serenity. For Le Pavillon d’Or, I used a combination of Mentha Citrata, Fig Leaf and Frankincense to depict the charm and serenity of the Thai Golden Bang Pa-In Palace, blending them with just enough abstraction to resemble an olfactory aquarelle painting. During the whole time I was working on this fragrance, I felt I was under the guidance of that “golden inspiration” myself. It helped me achieve a subtle balance of aromatic, floral and woody notes that I find mystical – and almost sacred." – Pissara Umavijani

The Perfumer

Pissara Umavijani grew up in Thailand, in a house filled with books and poetry. A young artist passionate about fragrances, she began to create her own perfumes, mixing rare and precious scents.

She dreamed of opening her own Perfume House, and in 2011, she brought her dreams and creations to Paris. After learning the science of perfumes on her own, she continued to produce her first collection of exclusive fragrances with a large perfume production house in Grasse.

Parfums Dusita was launched in 2016, becoming the newest Maison de Haute Parfumerie in France.
