The Fragrance

The inspiration: "My main inspiration for Splendiris came from a poem written by my father: “I write by the candlelight, wrapped in many layers of dreams”. I chose Iris as the ideal raw material to base my composition on, due to the several olfactive layers it encompasses. Splendiris features lush Iris as its star ingredient, as luminous and splendid as a flowering field in full bloom, surrounded by sweet citruses and precious florals (May Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Violet). With the color purple in mind, a color I strongly associate with dreams, I tried to highlight all the facets of my marvelous main ingredient – floral, gourmand and earthy. With a base of Vanilla, Vetiver and Aromatic Woods, I aimed for Splendiris to be altogether glamorous and mysterious, and as sensual as it is comforting." – Pissara Umavijani

A multi-talented artist, Pissara Umavijani does not only create unique and characterful perfumes, she also draws illustrations that capture the spirit of her fragrances.

This passion for refined perfumes begins with a love for French perfumery. The House adds to this the knowledge of fragrant oils, powders, and resins from its Thai heritage.

The internationally awarded Dusita perfumes are enriched by Pissara's boldly creative and contemporary touches, making them both current and timeless.

The Perfumer

Pissara Umavijani grew up in Thailand, in a house filled with books and poetry. A young artist passionate about fragrances, she began to create her own perfumes, mixing rare and precious scents.

She dreamed of opening her own Perfume House, and in 2011, she brought her dreams and creations to Paris. After learning the science of perfumes on her own, she continued to produce her first collection of exclusive fragrances with a large perfume production house in Grasse.

Parfums Dusita was launched in 2016, becoming the newest Maison de Haute Parfumerie in France.
