The History

With ÉLISIRE, Franck Salzwedel wanted to express his love for perfume and painting, inspired by his fascination with nature: the world, the sky, the sun, light, stars, and the elements.

But above all, the miracle of colors and their impact on the sensory and emotional spectrum. For him, color has a transcendent power that acts on the body and the soul. Whether it is bright, vibrant, dark, or muted, alone or in interaction with others, color speaks directly to emotions.

Rothko, one of his favorite painters, said: "It speaks all languages," just like perfume.

The Founder

Franck Salzwedel was born in France to German parents and grew up in Indonesia. At 16, he returned to France to focus on his studies. Graduating from the French Institute of Fashion, he realized that his mission was to translate fashion into fragrance. He started with Armani, where he developed Acqua di Giò and Mania, and then moved on to Viktor & Rolf, with whom he created Flowerbomb. In parallel, Franck explored painting. In 2007, he settled in New York as a painter and consultant and created ÉLISIRE. In 2020, Franck moved to Provence to continue his adventure.
