The story
With ÉLISIRE, Franck Salzwedel wanted to tell his love for perfume and painting, inspired by his fascination with nature: the world, the sky, the sun, light, the stars, and the elements.
But most of all, the miracle of colors and their impact on the sensory and emotional spectrum. For him, color holds a transcendent power, acting on both body and soul. Whether radiant, vibrant, dark, or muted, alone or interacting with others, color speaks directly to the emotions.
Rothko, one of his favorite painters, once said: “It speaks all languages”. So does perfume.
The founder
Franck Salzwedel was born in France to German parents and grew up in Indonesia. At the age of 16, he returned to France to focus on his studies. After graduating from the Institut Français de la Mode, he realized his mission was to translate fashion into fragrance. He began his career at Armani, where he developed Acqua di Giò and Mania, and then moved on to Viktor & Rolf, creating Flowerbomb with them. In parallel, Franck explored painting. In 2007, he settled in New York as a painter and consultant, and founded ÉLISIRE. In 2020, Franck moved to Provence to continue his journey.
