Trained in chemistry and introduced to the profession by Pierre Bourdon, Jean-Christophe Hérault built his approach to perfumery at the crossroads of science and the arts.
Made aware from an early age of literature, particularly Proust and the evocative power of olfactory memory, he draws his inspiration from memories, encounters, and personal experiences.
A perfumer at IFF, where he now holds creative leadership roles, he stands out for his versatility, his taste for contrasts, and a free conception of creation, unconstrained by gender conventions.
