Our Curator's Review: "Mezghenna is a perfume with character, but one that is built on nuance. The wood-spice-incense structure is worked with balance, without ever falling into showiness.

It opens with a lemony, peppery attack - a lively breath that evokes the windswept heights of the Casbah. The nervous heart, sculpted from warm woods and vibrant spices, gives the fragrance its backbone. Then comes the restrained presence of the base notes: discreet incense, earthy iris, restrained vanilla.

To be worn on days when concentration is essential, at a vernissage when you want to leave a mark, or in the calm of a place steeped in history."

    The Fragrance

In the 8th century, the Berber tribe of Beni-Mezghenna left the Atlas Mountains and settled on the ancient site of Icosium and gave it the name “El Djazaïr Beni Mezghenna”, quickly renamed Algiers. Today the capital of Algeria, a city with a thousand facets, it combines at its heart Berber heritage and the modernity of large cities. In its image, the Mezghenna perfume combines the woody scents of the Atlas region with the liveliness of pepper.
