The history

Atelier Des Ors was founded in 2015 by Jean-Philippe Clermont with a demanding and creative approach to what he calls Fine Perfumery.

Gold, exceptional materials and know-how, a curious look at the world are his ORS, his guides.

If Jean Philippe's sources of inspiration are multiple and rooted in a hybrid and eclectic background and culture, they all converge towards a quest for Beauty and Elegance elevated to an art of living.

Gold is both material and symbol. It encapsulates a process close to alchemy: starting from the evidence of a sublime and fascinating material, gold, of exceptional and meticulous know-how to transform it, transmute it towards a precious imaginary.

The Founder

Jean-Philippe Clermont (pictured here with perfumer Marie Salamagne) developed his own artistic sensibility from a very young age. His curiosity about scents, his taste for exceptional products, and his love of the beautiful perfumes of the 1920s and 1930s have shaped his approach from the outset. While his sources of inspiration are many – art, lifestyle, and foreign cultures, having lived in the Middle East for 10 years where he worked in the cigar industry – they all converge in a quest for beauty in the broadest sense, high standards, and a desire to put the creative act above all else.
