Defying the market paradigm of mass production and generic functional fragrancing, Riccardo, the house founder, is also the master perfumer, responsible for conceptualizing and creating all in-house fragrances.

The Story

Inspired by the expansion of global trade during the Age of Discoveries, RHR Luxury explores the globalization of exotic materials within the context of mass migrations and the intermingling of cultures, and how this directly influenced the birth of modern perfumery as we know it today.

Applied to luxury home fragrance, rare botanicals from all continents blend with the latest technology in molecular aromatic chemistry. Boldly combining the new and the millenary, intertwining historical and geographical references, elegantly capturing fragrance in space and time.

The Founder

Riccardo Halac-Ruggeroni, the Founder, is a self-taught designer turned perfumer. An outlier and iconoclast, while collecting perfumes and scented candles, he noticed a glaring gap in the world of home fragrance: the quality of products didn't match that of sophisticated niche perfumery.  Authorship and authenticity were missing in a world of mass production and generic fragrancing dressed as luxury.  Passionate about haute parfumerie, he trained in the Jean Carles method, spending years in R&D before launching his brand. Following in his footsteps—and others like Roudnitska, JCE, and Bourdon—Riccardo crafts bespoke juice but for the home, elevating the simple act of lighting a candle into a subliminal experience.
