La fragranza

La moglie di Joseph, Alice, aveva il soprannome di 'Lilice' e amava le note di iris e rosa. Il profumiere impiegò dieci anni per trovare la formula giusta, e sua moglie fu l'unica persona a indossarla. Questa fragranza fa parte della Collection Historique de Lesquendieu, le 5 fragranze iconiche che hanno forgiato la storia centenaria della Maison Lesquendieu, modernizzate. Classici reinventati.

Il marchio

La promessa di Lesquendieu è quella di un vero profumo di lusso, puro, naturale e made in France. «Abbiamo rilanciato cinque fragranze del nostro secolo di storia e abbiamo creato una collezione completamente nuova con la terza generazione Lesquendieu. Le nostre creazioni sono realizzate con gli ingredienti più rari, prevalentemente di origine naturale. Dalla maturazione del concentrato alla messa in produzione, tutto viene ancora realizzato nel laboratorio di Grasse, capitale mondiale del profumo. I profumi sono realizzati a mano e richiedono numerose ore di lavoro appassionato. Ogni Eau de Parfum e è rifinita con un tappo e un’etichetta placcati in oro puro a 24 carati, che ritroverete anche sulla confezione. Da Lesquendieu, nulla è lasciato al caso.”

    To my nose, there is an intense fruity vibe on the opening but it is very mature and well blended. The blackcurrant is quite prominent and is both sharp and sweet to me, interestingly. The beautiful rose slowly emerges to take a centre stage role and it is enveloped in the powderiness of iris, making it so classic and so feminine. As the base notes appear there is more sweetness and creaminess from the amber, vanilla and the woody notes. The story to me in 2024 is that of a woman, quietly confident, who knows her mind and who is a floral lover. She smells classic and classy, unapologetically so. I could see this being a perfect bridal scent and equally a perfect signature scent for a woman aged anywhere from 20 to 100…and beyond!
